abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a low-gloss thermoplastic molding composition comprising a grafted acrylate rubber (ASA) and a method for producing the same. The composition is a luster which is a reaction product of (i) a compound having two or more maleic anhydride groups per molecule and (ii) a compound having two or more primary amine terminal groups per molecule. It contains a reducing agent in an effective amount. The incorporation of the gloss reducing agent into the composition of the present invention was designed to blend the reaction product into ASA in the molten state or, alternatively, to provide for in situ formation of the gloss reducing agent of the present invention. This can be done by blending reactants (i) and (ii) under process conditions. [Selection diagram] None |
