Fuel for homogeneous charge compression self-ignition engine |
abstract |
Provided is a fuel capable of fully exhibiting engine characteristics for a homogeneous charge compression self-ignition engine capable of simultaneously achieving low NOx exhaust gas, low fuel consumption, and high thermal efficiency. The object can be achieved by using a fuel having a distillation property of the following (1) and satisfying the following requirements (2) and (3). (1) Initial boiling point: less than 45 ° C. 50% distillation temperature: 30 ° C or higher and 80 ° C or lower, End point: less than 120 ° C. (2) 4 × E1 + 3 × E2 + 2 × E3-1 × E4-4 × E5 ≧ 150 (3) RON-CN ≦ 85 (E1 in the above (2) is a fraction having a boiling point of less than 70 ° C, E2 is a fraction having a boiling point of 70 ° C to less than 100 ° C, E3 is a fraction having a boiling point of 100 ° C to less than 130 ° C, and E4 is a boiling point of 130 ° C to 160 ° C. (E5 represents the volume percentage of the fraction having a boiling point of 160 ° C. or higher, RON in the above (3) represents a research octane number, and CN represents a cetane number.)
