titleOfInvention | Visenistatin synthase gene cluster, vicenistamine glycosyltransferase polypeptide and gene encoding the polypeptide |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide enzymes involved in vicenistatin biosynthesis and genes thereof in order to enzymatically produce useful vicenistatin. According to the present invention, a base sequence of a vin cluster, which is a group of genes encoding a group of vicenistatin biosynthetic enzymes, is provided. Furthermore, according to the present invention, a glycosyltransferase (VinC enzyme) that catalyzes a reaction for producing vicenistatin using dTDP-vicenisamin as a substrate, and a gene encoding the gene (vinC gene) are provided. VinC enzymes are useful for the purpose of enzymatically synthesizing useful vicenisamine. Furthermore, the possibility of synthesizing an unprecedented polyketide glycoside was demonstrated by using the VinC enzyme. [Selection diagram] None |
