abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a solid electrolytic capacitor excellent in ESR characteristics and a method of manufacturing the same, which reduces the probability that a conductive polymer layer reaches an anode portion to cause insulation failure or dielectric breakdown, and has excellent ESR characteristics. I do. An aluminum foil having a dielectric oxide film layer on a roughened surface, and an insulating band which penetrates into the dielectric oxide film layer to serve as a boundary between an anode portion and a cathode portion. A layer 15, a conductive polymer layer 17 and a cathode extraction layer 18 sequentially formed on the surface of the cathode section 14 separated by the insulating strip layer 15, and cutouts were provided at both corners of the anode section 13. The capacitor element 19 has a configuration in which the capacitor element 19 is laminated and external connection terminals are attached to the surface of the anode portion 13 and the cathode extraction layer 18, respectively.
