titleOfInvention Polylactic acid-based resin composition with controlled biodegradation rate and molded article thereof
abstract An object of the present invention is to control the rate of biodegradation in a polylactic acid-based resin composition and a molded article thereof, without greatly changing mechanical properties such as tensile strength and elastic modulus, without any change. Kind Code: A1 A polylactic acid-based resin composition having an accelerated biodegradation rate, wherein an anatase type titanium dioxide having a particle size of 0.05 to 1 μm and not surface-treated is added to 100 parts by mass of a polylactic acid-based polymer. Alternatively, 5 to 40 parts by mass of rutile-type titanium dioxide having a particle size of 0.005 to 1 μm and a surface treated with an inorganic substance is blended. A polylactic acid-based resin composition having a reduced biodegradation rate, wherein 100 parts by mass of a polylactic acid-based polymer is hydrophobic rutile-type dioxide having a particle size of 0.005 to 1 μm and a surface treated with an organic substance. 5 to 40 parts by mass of titanium is blended.
