titleOfInvention | Body moisture measurement device |
abstract | In a multi-frequency bioelectric impedance measurement, a body water content such as a total body water content (TBW), an extracellular fluid volume (ECW), and an intracellular fluid volume (ICW) of a subject is calculated using an appropriate regression equation. Accordingly, an apparatus capable of accurately and easily calculating a body water content is provided. SOLUTION: From data obtained by multi-frequency bioelectrical impedance measurement, R 0 most related to extracellular fluid and R inf related to body water are determined, and extracellular fluid resistance Re calculated using these values. And the intracellular fluid resistance Ri, the influence of the difference in the critical frequency of each subject is removed, and an index indicating a physical characteristic is combined with an impedance index (Ht 2 / R) which is assumed to represent the volume of a human body. As a result, the total body water content (TBW), extracellular fluid volume (ECW), and intracellular fluid volume (ICW) can be calculated more accurately. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1 |
