titleOfInvention Improved fluorescence resonance energy transfer probe
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved design of a FRET hybridization probe in which the absolute signal is not affected by the base composition and sequence of a target nucleic acid. SOLUTION: A nucleotide sequence entity substantially complementary to a sequence of a target nucleic acid, A FRET hybrid that hybridizes adjacent to a target nucleic acid sequence, each comprising a fluorescent entity that is either a FRET donor entity or a FRET acceptor entity, and a spacer entity linking the nucleotide sequence entity and the fluorescent entity. A FRET hybridization probe pair, wherein the spacer entities of the two members of the FRET hybridization probe pair can form a non-covalent interaction with each other. [Selection diagram] None
