abstract |
A non-sintered nickel electrode containing a high-order nickel compound obtained by previously oxidizing nickel hydroxide is suppressed from changing over time in the viscosity of an active material paste of the nickel electrode. Further, the storage performance of the alkaline battery using the electrode is improved. A non-sintered nickel electrode for an alkaline battery mainly containing nickel hydroxide or a higher nickel compound obtained by oxidizing the same, wherein the nickel electrode contains modified polyvinylamide .
