Provided are a method for preparing a uniform nano-sized composite compound of a metal oxide and carbon, and a technique for using the manufactured composite compound for a device such as a battery. A nanocomposite compound of an oxide and carbon formed by mixing and thermally decomposing a metal compound, a hydrate thereof, or a solution thereof and carbon. The above nanocomposite compound using two or more metal compounds, hydrates, or solutions thereof.
