titleOfInvention | Ultra-trace ion detector |
abstract | To introduce gas molecules released from a sample into a reduced-pressure atmosphere while maintaining the sample in an environmental atmosphere, to ionize the gas molecules under the reduced-pressure atmosphere, and to mutually exchange a plurality of molecules released from the sample surface. Provided is a trace ion detection device which transfers a trace amount ion to an ionization unit while maintaining a positional relationship. Kind Code: A1 An ultra-trace ion detector comprising a sample chamber, a reduced-pressure atmosphere introducing section comprising a plurality of differential exhaust apertures, an ionizing section, and an ion measuring section, wherein molecules released from the sample are placed on a carrier gas. Between the sample chamber and the ion measurement unit with extremely low pressure, a reduced-pressure atmosphere introduction unit consisting of a plurality of differentially evacuated apertures is placed to reduce the desired pressure, and electromagnetic waves are irradiated at an arbitrary location between the sample chamber and the ion measurement unit. An ultra-trace ion detection device provided with an ionization section by which ionization of molecules released from the sample is performed without ionizing the carrier gas, and only molecules released from the sample ionized by applying an electric field are guided to the ion measurement section and detected.
