abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a medical device capable of maintaining piercing properties into a living body, preventing blood clot formation due to leakage of blood, and preventing infectious diseases caused by bacteria. An antithrombotic treatment and a wet lubrication treatment are applied to at least the distal end of an indwelling portion in a blood vessel when indwelled in a human body on the outer surface of a medical device made of a synthetic resin. This is a medical device in which the remaining portion of the internal indwelling portion and the portion not to be indwelled in the blood vessel are subjected to antithrombotic treatment and then sterilized by an electron beam, and a method for producing the medical device. |
