abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing titanium oxide having visible light activity by a gas phase method using titanium tetrachloride as a raw material. A method for producing titanium oxide by burning a mixed gas of titanium tetrachloride and oxygen in a gas phase to hydrolyze titanium tetrachloride.
