The present invention provides a novel GPR7 ligand and its DNA. An N-terminal amino acid residue derived from human whole brain, mouse whole brain and rat whole brain contains the same or substantially the same amino acid sequence as a specific amino acid sequence which may be brominated. A characterized polypeptide or a salt thereof. EFFECTS The GPR7 ligand of the present invention is useful for developing a receptor binding assay system using a GPR7 expression system and for screening drug candidate compounds such as anti-obesity drugs.
