abstract |
An electrolyte capable of improving low-temperature characteristics while maintaining a stable gel state, and a battery using the same are provided. A battery element includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode stacked with an electrolyte interposed therebetween. The electrolyte 23 is a gel electrolyte in which an electrolyte is dispersed or held in a holder. The support contains, as a main component, a copolymer containing polyvinylidene fluoride as a monomer unit. The electrolyte contains a glycol derivative such as ethylene glycol ethyl ether acetate. This ethylene glycol derivative has high compatibility with a copolymer containing vinylidene fluoride as a monomer unit and can improve ionic conductivity at a low temperature.
