titleOfInvention | Intermediate transfer member and transfer device of image forming apparatus using the same |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to generate an appropriate distortion in a contact portion of an intermediate transfer member with a photoreceptor so as to prevent transfer deviation. It is another object of the present invention to appropriately obtain the conductivity by using a new conductive material. When a predetermined contact pressure condition is applied to an intermediate transfer member having a multilayer structure, the ratio of the sum of the radii of the intermediate transfer drum and the photosensitive drum to the distortion recess resulting from the contact is 1%. The configuration is in the range of 7 to 40 in parts per million. For this purpose, for example, a shape memory resin (elastomer) is used for the elastic layer. In addition, fine particles of a non-oxidizing substance (a boride or silicide of Group A of Groups 4, 5, and 6 of the long period type in the periodic table) are used as the conductive agent.
