abstract |
Disclosed is a medical device battery that can be implanted in a body that prevents delamination by improving the contact of an active material with a current collector and requires high-rate discharge application. First cathode active materials (36, 38) in contact with the outside of a first cathode current collector (32) and a second cathode current collector (34) having a relatively low energy density but a relatively high power output. A new cathode design with a second cathode active material 40 having a relatively high energy density but a relatively low power output in contact with the current collector, wherein the second cathode active material 40 comprises: A battery having a cathode that is larger than the current collector and spreads around the periphery and sandwiched between layers of the first cathode active materials 36 and 38 facing each other.
