abstract |
An object of the present invention is to provide a lithium battery which is excellent in battery characteristics by using a current collector having a high electrical conductivity at an interface between an active material and a substrate. Kind Code: A1 An alkali metal / solid cathode electrochemical cell, such as a combination of Li and SVO, has a cathode material supported on a titanium current collector screen coated with a carbon material. A titanium current collector coated in this way provides a higher rate of performance than a cell of similar chemistry with a cathode active material in contact with the uncoated titanium current collector.
