titleOfInvention | Image forming device |
abstract | Provided is an electrophotographic image forming apparatus capable of reducing abnormal images such as transfer dust and image collapse and obtaining good and high-quality images. A belt-shaped member that carries and conveys a recording material at the time of transfer is a photoconductive photoconductor, and the belt-shaped member has a polarity with which a drum-shaped photoconductor is charged by a first charging device. The second exposure device 6 is configured to form a latent image that is charged to the same polarity by the second charging device 7 and that is the same as the latent image formed on the drum 1 by the first exposure device 4. Further, an electrode 14 and a high-voltage power supply 15 as an electric field applying mechanism are provided in a recording material conveying path from a downstream portion of the transfer to an upstream portion of the fixing.
