The present invention provides an inexpensive image display particle which does not require a complicated manufacturing process, and an image display device using the same. An image display device encloses one or more types of particles between a transparent substrate and a counter substrate, and applies an electric field to the particles from two types of electrodes having different potentials to fly and move the particles to display an image. The resin component of the particles is obtained by polymerizing at least one kind selected from an acrylic monomer, a methacrylic monomer, and a styrene monomer, and at least one kind of particle material of the particles is acrylic. The present invention relates to image display particles containing a base resin and a methacrylic resin-hydrocarbon resin block copolymer, and produced using diacyl peroxide as a polymerization initiator, and an image display device using the same.
