abstract |
The concentration of residual cyan in iron-based parts heat-treated with a cyan-containing salt bath is reduced. The washing is performed by contacting with an alkaline aqueous solution containing a hydroxyl group. The alkaline aqueous solution is an aqueous solution of an alkali metal hydroxide, and has a concentration of hypochlorous acid, chlorous acid, chloric acid, and perchloric acid as needed.
