abstract |
An object of the present invention is to provide a patch having a polyhydric alcohol-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition having excellent drug release, transdermal absorption, and adhesiveness. A heat-generating patch having a water-affinity polyhydric alcohol-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing heat-generating particles that generate heat by absorbing moisture and a drug. Preferred exothermic particles are compounds having a enthalpy of hydration at room temperature (25 ° C.) of −10 to −200 kJmol −1 . The exothermic particles generate heat locally in the adhesive due to moisture absorption from the outside air or the skin, thereby improving drug release and transdermal absorption.
