abstract |
An object of the present invention is to bond a peripheral hem portion of a vehicle body panel (an inner panel and an outer panel) (using a hemming adhesive) and seal a step (using a body sealer) at a hem overlapping portion of both panels. In this case, there is provided a method for bonding and sealing a hem portion of a vehicle body panel for the purpose of preventing or reducing the occurrence of blisters at the time of baking hardening of a body sealer due to the effect of air accumulation of the hemming adhesive. The method for bonding and sealing a hem portion of a vehicle body panel according to the present invention uses a hemming adhesive containing 0.3 to 2% by weight of glass beads having an average particle diameter of 100 to 300 μm for bonding the peripheral hem portion. The hemming portion is pressurized, and then a plastisol sealer is used for sealing the step. [Selection diagram] None |
