titleOfInvention | Method for manufacturing liquid crystal display device, substrate for liquid crystal display device, and method for manufacturing substrate for liquid crystal display device |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device which exhibits excellent display quality without a decrease in contrast or color tone due to depolarization phenomenon or light leakage caused by spacer particles. A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device, in which one substrate on which spacer particles are arranged at an arbitrary position and the other substrate on which spacer particles are not arranged is opposed to each other via spacer particles and liquid crystal. A color filter composed of a pixel region and a light-shielding region that defines the pixel region is formed on one of the substrates, and as a substrate on which spacer particles are arranged, at least a region corresponding to at least the pixel region on one surface thereof. There is an alignment film having a contact angle of θb with the spacer particle dispersion, and at least a part of the region corresponding to the light shielding region has a portion with a contact angle of the spacer particle dispersion of θa, and θb and θa Is used to discharge a spacer particle dispersion liquid to a portion where the contact angle is θa, and to selectively dispose spacer particles in a light-shielding region. Method for manufacturing a display device. [Selection diagram] None |
