abstract | A photoreceptor having a triphenylamine structure and a toner containing an aromatic volatile compound can be used for a long period of time in a high-temperature and high-humidity environment without deteriorating the photosensitive layer of the photoreceptor. Provided are an image forming apparatus, an image forming method, and a process cartridge capable of stably obtaining a high-quality image. An image forming apparatus in which a charger, an exposure device, a developing device, and a transfer device are arranged around an electrophotographic photosensitive member, includes an electrophotographic photosensitive member containing a charge transporting compound having a triphenylamine structure, and a head. An image forming apparatus comprising: a toner having a total aromatic volatile compound content of 5 to 30 ppm in a toner when a volatile component is measured by a space method.
