abstract Kind Code: A1 Abstract: Hinokitiol, which has been difficult to be compounded and molded into a thermoplastic resin, is compounded with clay, blended with the thermoplastic resin in an arbitrary ratio, and then heat-molded to impart properties unique to hinokitiol. The purpose is to obtain a molded article. A hinokitiol-containing thermoplastic resin is blended with a thermoplastic resin, and a hinokitiol-clay composite comprising a layered clay component having an interlayer support and hinokitiol introduced as a guest into the interlayer void is melt-molded to form a hinokitiol-containing thermoplastic.
