abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variety of microorganisms required for water purification with a variety of surface shapes in an environment where they can easily inhabit and to capture nitrogen, phosphorus, etc., which are eutrophication bases. Provided is a water purification material which is also suitable in terms of surface. SOLUTION: A natural fiber a such as coconut fiber or a chemical fiber such as nylon is used as a water purification material 1 disposed in running water of an open water system, and CaO (OH) 2 b is supported on the surface of the fiber.
