abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a steam generator having a desired steam generating ability and capable of reliably suppressing leakage of contents. The steam generator includes a bag body (2) having air permeability and a steam generating composition (3) containing oxidizable metal powder, salts and water. The bag body 2 is provided by joining a double breathable sheet 20 and a non-breathable sheet 21, and the breathable sheet 20 is formed of a spunbonded nonwoven fabric 200, a meltblown nonwoven fabric 201, and a heat-fusible material. The fibrous nonwoven fabric 202 is made of a composite nonwoven fabric joined in this order. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1
