abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a solid titanium catalyst component for olefin polymerization from which an olefin (co) polymer having high activity and high stereospecificity can be obtained, and a catalyst for olefin polymerization and a method for polymerizing olefin using the same. A solid adduct comprising a magnesium compound and an electron donor (a), an electron donor (b) and a titanium compound in a liquid state are suspended in the presence of (A) an inert hydrocarbon solvent. A titanium, magnesium, halogen and electron donor (b) obtained by contacting at least one method selected from the method of contacting in a turbid state and the method of (B) contacting a plurality of times. And an olefin comprising the solid titanium catalyst component [S] and an organometallic compound catalyst component [M] containing a metal selected from Groups I to III of the periodic table.
