The present invention provides a detergent composition which exhibits an excellent cleaning effect, has excellent ability to prevent re-contamination, and can meet the demand for compact detergents. The product comprises, as an essential component, a polymer in which one or more unsaturated carboxylic acids are added to a polyalkyleneimine chain, and is selected from the group consisting of polycarboxylic acids (salts), citrates, zeolites, and layered silicates. It includes at least the above. The liquid detergent composition according to the present invention contains, as an essential component, a polymer in which one or more unsaturated carboxylic acids are added to a polyalkyleneimine chain.
