titleOfInvention | Nuclear orphan receptor |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nThe present invention relates to a novel human nuclear orphan receptor that binds to the cytochrome P-450 monooxygenase (CYP) promoter and is activated by a compound that induces CYP gene expression. The invention further relates to nucleic acid sequences encoding such receptors, methods for producing the receptors, and methods for using the receptors and the nucleic acid sequences encoding the same. The invention also relates to non-human animals transformed to express the human receptor and methods of using such animals to screen compounds for drug interaction and toxicity. |
