abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel tube realizing required durability and permeation resistance by applying a two-layer or multi-layer structure having an increased interlayer adhesive strength. The thermoplastic has an inner layer (12) of a thermoplastic tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene-vinylidene fluoride terpolymer and an outer layer (14) of a melt-processable polyamide adhered to the inner layer. In a tube, at least one of these layers (12, 14) may be used as an adhesion promoter (16) as an unsubstituted or substituted 1,8-diazabicyclo- [5,4,0] undec-7-ene supported on a novolak carrier. This is a thermoplastic tube that transports a hydrocarbon-based fuel containing a substituted phenol salt. This adhesion promoter acts to increase the adhesion strength between the two layers (12, 14). Further, the adhesion promoter imparts chemical adhesion in addition to mechanical adhesion at the time of extrusion or lamination. |
