abstract |
(57) Abstract: To increase the melt strength of the polyester composition and increase the high shear thinning, a polar chain terminator containing a nonionic group or an ionic group neutralized with a counter ion is used. Add at a level of 0.05-20 mol%. Optionally, no more than 2.0 mole percent of a trifunctional or tetrafunctional or higher branching agent is added to the polyester composition. Optionally, a polar mid-chain difunctional monomer containing up to 30 mol% of non-ionic groups or ionic groups neutralized with a counterion is added. The polyester composition is based on 100 mole% diacid component and 100 mole% glycol component. |
