(57) [Summary]nDisclosed are compositions and methods for inducing vertebrates to induce a protective immune response against Chlamydia bacteria. The method of the present invention involves administering to a vertebrate a composition having a carrier group attached to an oligosaccharide obtained from a chlamydia glycolipid. The composition is administered in an amount sufficient to induce a protective immune response against the pathogen. |
