(57) [Summary]nA method for labeling a protein, comprising: (a) treating the protein with a protective agent to inhibit an ε-amino acid group present in a lysine residue of the protein; and (b) cleaving the protein to obtain a peptide mixture. And (c) treating the peptide mixture with a labeling agent that binds to the N-terminal amino acid of the peptide. The method can be used in a differential expression detection method to determine differences in protein expression. |
