(57) [Summary]n(1) A mixed anhydride containing a trifluoromethanesulfonyl acyl residue and a carboxyl residue by contacting trifluoromethanesulfonic acid or a derivative thereof with a carboxyl compound selected from ketene, dialkylketene, carboxylic acid, and a derivative of carboxylic acid. And (2) subjecting the mixed anhydride to a reactive distillation to disproportionate the mixed anhydride to produce triflic anhydride and a higher boiling carboxylic anhydride, thereby producing trifluoromethanesulfonic acid. A method for producing an anhydride is disclosed. |
