(57) Summary An inflatable member system (20) can use a gas generator (24; 140) that includes an inflatable member (22) that is expandable from a stored state to a deployed state. The generator may include a flexible container (30; 150) in an inflatable member, a gas generant (28; 148) initially located within the flexible container, and a priming (34). A propagation member (60; 142) may be disposed within the container such that upon triggering the priming agent, the priming agent ignites the initiator, allowing the inflatable member to expand from the stowed state to the deployed state. Sustainers (44; 152; 156) may be provided to maintain gas generation and may be located in the generator housing upstream of the propagation member or adjacent the downstream end of the propagation member. |
