titleOfInvention | Major histocompatibility complex class II element with epitope / immunoglobulin chimeric molecule |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nThe present invention is an immunologically active molecule comprising an epitope of interest, two or more major histocompatibility complex class II elements, and an immunoglobulin constant region element, wherein the epitope comprises a major histocompatibility complex class. Two major non-covalently associated chains containing the extracellular domain of the major histocompatibility complex class II protein, each of which is contained in a fusion protein containing the II element. Wherein the major histocompatibility complex class II element relates to an immunologically active molecule covalently linked by one or more disulfide bonds present in an immunoglobulin constant region element. The molecules of the invention can be used to selectively eliminate T cells that have a TCR that reacts in the context of an epitope of interest and a major histocompatibility complex class II element. Thus, the molecules of the invention can be used, for example and without limitation, to eliminate or reduce specific T cell populations in the treatment of autoimmune diseases and / or graft-versus-host disease. |
