titleOfInvention Sample preparation method
abstract (57) [Summary]nThe present invention provides a sample preparation method for use in obtaining elemental isotope ratios of a material by accelerated mass spectrometry. The method includes forming a material in a sample without substantially any chemical change of the material. The present invention also provides a sample for use in obtaining the natural isotope ratio of the material. Advantageously, the method of the present invention provides a method for sample preparation for accelerated mass spectrometry (AMS) analysis, which is both rapid (ie, can be performed in less than a few minutes) and cost-effective. I do. Furthermore, when compared to the prior art, the method of the present invention uses a minimal amount of disposable glassware and plasticware.
