abstract |
(57) Abstract: The present invention relates to a eukaryote (eg, mammal) containing a blocking gene of a viral eukaryotic gene transfer vector containing a harmful (ie, cytostatic, cytotoxic or apoptosis-inducing) gene. A method for in vitro propagation in a host-producing cell is provided. The blocking gene inhibits the deleterious effects of deleterious genes on eukaryotic host-producing cells. Vectors and cells useful in the methods of the invention are also provided. |
