Method and apparatus for aerosolizing substances |
abstract |
The device for aerosolizing a liquid comprises a chamber (502) having a deformable wall (510), which expands as fluid is delivered to the fluid chamber (500). And contracts as the fluid exits the fluid chamber (500). The chamber is partially coupled by a vibrating structure (506) having a hole (504) therein for draining fluid. In another aspect, the invention provides an exemplary aerosolization device (300) and a method for aerosolizing a substance. Liquid is transferred from the first chamber (328) into a second chamber (330) having a dry substance to form a solution. The solution is then transferred from the second chamber to the atomizing member (308). The atomizing member is operated to aerosolize the solution. |
