titleOfInvention Monovinylidene aromatic polymers with improved properties and methods for their preparation
abstract (57) [Summary]nPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber-modified monovinylidene aromatic polymer having an improved balance between impact resistance and tensile properties.nSOLUTION: The rubber particles are composed of a) a monovinylidene aromatic polymer matrix, and b) dispersed rubber particles, wherein the rubber particles are made of a diene rubber and have I) a high molecular weight component and II) a low molecular weight component, and the high molecular weight component is It has a weight average molecular weight at least 2.5 times greater than that of the low molecular weight component, both components I) and II) have a 1,4 cis content greater than 70%, and III) at least 30% on rubber. A rubber modified monovinylidene aromatic polymer characterized in that the rubber is grafted with a monovinylidene aromatic polymer such that the monovinylidene aromatic polymer is present as a graft.
