(57) [Summary] The present invention relates to a device for non-invasively detecting oxygen turnover and data derived from oxygen metabolism by an optical sensor (S) mounted on a tissue. The sensor comprises one or more light sources (W, L) for emitting light to the sensor (S) via an optical fiber and one for receiving light backscattered by the tissue via the optical fiber. Or, it is provided with more detectors (DD, DR) and an evaluation unit. |
