titleOfInvention Modified carbon products useful for gas diffusion electrodes
abstract (57) [Summary]nA gas diffusion electrode comprising a modified carbon product is described, wherein the modified carbon product is a carbon product having at least one organic group attached thereto. A modified carbon product is a carbon product having at least one hydrophobic organic group and at least one hydrophilic group. The modified carbon product can be used for at least one component of the electrode, such as an active layer and / or a barrier layer. Methods for extending the service life of the electrode, as well as reducing the amount of fluorine-containing compound, are also described.
