titleOfInvention | Ionomer fine particle composition |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nAn ionomer fine particle composition produced by suspension polymerization is provided. The composition contains at least one vinyl monomer, an acidic monomer, a metal oxide, at least two surfactants, one of which is a monomer surfactant, and polyacrylamide. By using polyacrylamide and various surfactants without using conventional means of homogenization, the particle size can be controlled. Particle sizes in the range of less than 10 micrometers can be obtained. The ionomer microparticles are produced in the absence of a chain transfer agent, and can therefore have a high molecular weight. |
