abstract (57) [Summary]nA method for producing an acrylic graft polymer on the surface of a polyolefin product is disclosed. The method includes immersing a polyolefin product in a photoinitiator solution in a volatile solvent, evaporating the volatile solvent in the photoinitiator solution, immersing the polyolefin product in an acrylic monomer solution, and a polyolefin product. Applying ultraviolet radiation in air or a suitable atmosphere that can be inert to cause grafting of the acrylic monomer onto the polyolefin surface. A step of subjecting the polyolefin product to corona discharge, a step of immersing the product after the corona discharge treatment in a photoinitiator and an acrylic monomer solution in a volatile solvent, and a step of irradiating the product with ultraviolet light to graft the acrylic monomer onto the polyolefin surface The method including is also disclosed. The latter method improves the ability of the graft product to capture ammonia.
