titleOfInvention | Interferon gamma for asthma treatment |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nThe present invention discloses the clinical application of interferon gamma (IFN-γ), which was the first successful treatment of bronchial asthma in humans. Clinical data clearly demonstrate that continuous administration of IFN-γ at relatively low doses can be used effectively for long-term treatment of severe bronchial asthma, especially for glucocorticoid-resistant asthma. The present invention also relates to a combination therapy for administering IFN-γ and glucocorticoid, each of which alone is ineffective or insufficient in treating asthma. |
