titleOfInvention Methods and software products for enhancing the efficiency of a Java (R) program platform-specific
abstract A method for optimizing and enhancing a Java program to run more efficiently on a particular hardware platform is to increase the execution performance that the Java program ultimately requires for its functions. And using a new class that defines constants and specialized functions to identify and modify existing classes associated with the Java program, noting the reduction in the amount of memory. The method uses constant evaluation and analysis, and the results of such evaluation and analysis determine what type of code specialization occurs. As an optional step, the enhanced Java class of the resulting platform will overwrite the original Java class, so that when the Java program is running in the future, it will run on the same Java program or on the same hardware platform. Classes modified by other Java programs can be used. Software products are also described.
