abstract | (57) [Summary] This device focuses a pulsed laser source (6) on a target object (2) to be analyzed and generates a plasma on the surface of the target object. Means (8, 10, 12), means (16, 18) for analyzing the plasma emission spectrum, means (20) for detecting the elemental component of the object from this analysis, and means for displacing the object if possible. (4). The invention is particularly applicable to radioactive test materials. |
