titleOfInvention | Use of haploid genomes for genetic diagnosis, modification and propagation |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nMethods for growing a haploid genome of male or female origin and methods for genetic screening and modification thereof are provided. These haploid genomes can be used for the production of haploid embryos, as well as embryonic stem-like and differentiated cells. Also, these haploid genomes and cells containing them can be used as nuclear transfer donors to produce diploid nuclear transfer units. These diploid NT units, eg, human NT units, can be used to obtain pluripotent cells as well as differentiated cells and tissues. |
