(57) [Summary]nDisclosed is an elastomer composition containing at least one elastomer component, at least one wet slip promoting filler, and at least one reinforcing filler to improve the wet slip resistance of the resulting elastomer composition. . This wet slip promoting filler is characterized by high Mohs hardness and high particle size. The resulting elastomeric composition exhibits improved wet slip resistance compared to the same composition without the wet slip promoting filler. Articles made from the elastomeric composition, methods for improving wet slip resistance, and methods for making wet slip resistant materials are also disclosed. |
